Maury County has many fun happenings for kids and adults celebrating Halloween. There is everything from creating art to running to sipping wine, as well as the traditional candy hunt and haunted horrors. Below is a sampler list of several of these events.

Have a great time creating a Halloween-themed piece of art with friends or family, and make it a party by bringing drinks and snacks! No creative or artistic skills needed, as their professional artist teacher will show you how to paint while you are having fun! During the month of October Painting with a Twist will be offering group classes that will be painting everything from bats to pumpkins to skeletons. More information is available here.

Mount Pleasant’s Annual Haunted Trail Event takes Trunk or Treating to the next level! Local businesses set up around the trail and provide a safe place for kids to have fun with family and friends and get lots of candy. So, grab those costumes and the big buckets and get ready for a spooky trip around the Walking Trail at the Mt. Pleasant Community Center.
They will once again have a public chili tasting for the public at the end of the trail, so bring your taste buds and help them pick the People’s Choice Winner for this year’s cook off!
3Trunk or Treat

Mount Joy Cumberland Presbyterian Church is excited to host Trunk or Treat again this year. They hope to see everyone dressed as their favorite character join them for fun and food. They will be providing a meal of hot dogs and chips. There will also be fun trunk decorations, candy, and lawn games. “We would love to fellowship with you and your family,” they said on their Facebook page.
4Haunting in the District

Sponsored by the Maury County Visitors Bureau, Haunting in the District is a free trick-or-treating event in downtown Columbia for kids 12 and under. There will be lots of candy, a petting zoo, kid’s zone and more. Check here for additional information.
*To note, Creepy Hollow Haunted Woods (2133 Joe Grown Road in Spring Hill) is closed for the season. Hit hard by the May 2024 tornado, they will not reopen until 2025.
