Mrs. Elizabeth White Davis, 94, a resident of Columbia, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Caldwell and Rev. Jimmy Rochelle officiating. Burial will follow in West Point Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born on January 17, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Howard White and the late Lillie Mae Barnes White. She married F.A. “Calfeye” Davis on August 16, 1947 who preceded her in death on February 24, 2011. Mrs. Davis loved her family and friends and giving gifts. She loved baking and making desserts and was famous for her homemade fudge. Mrs. Davis was proud that she was able to live independently at her home until she passed. Growing up she attended West Point Presbyterian Church and later on attended Columbia First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was deep and abiding in her faith.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Davis of Louisiana and Larry (Becky) Davis of Georgia; grandchildren, Natalie (Billy) Belcher and Lindsey Jones (Corey) Mann of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Nate Jones, and Lily Grace Jones of Georgia; sister-in-law, Judy Moncrief and her daughter, Sonia Pilkinton; brother-in-law, Frazier Davis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and long time family friend Larry Gumpert of Louisiana. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a twin sister who died at birth.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Green, Tony Love, Rickey Jones, Billy Belcher, David Priest, and Pete Brown. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Dungy.
