Adient plc has filed a WARN Notice with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, confirming plans to permanently close its facility in Columbia, Tennessee. The closure, set to take effect on June 27, 2025, will impact 95 workers.
The affected facility is located at 2206 Oakland Parkway in Columbia. Adient officially notified the state’s Dislocated Worker Unit on April 17, 2025. Employees at the site are covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
In response, the Southern Middle Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team, managed by the South Central Tennessee Development District, has been activated to assist both the employer and impacted workers. Services will include job placement assistance, retraining resources, and other support measures.
