Firefighters responded to an overnight house fire in Maury County that damaged part of a home and left a family temporarily displaced.
According to the Maury County Fire Department, the call came in at 12:57 a.m. Wednesday for a residential structure fire on Canaan Road. Crews arrived to find an attic fire with flames visible through the roof.
An offensive fire attack was initiated, and firefighters were able to contain the flames before they spread further into the home. While the family will need to relocate until repairs are completed, officials said most of the house was spared major damage.
Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced family. No injuries were reported.
