A homeowner’s quick actions helped limit damage after an ATV caught fire Sunday evening in the Theta Community, according to the Maury County Fire Department.
Fire crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire around 7:30 p.m. on June 7. When Engine 29 arrived, firefighters found the homeowner had already pulled the burning ATV out of the garage to prevent the fire from spreading.
Crews overhauled and cooled the affected area and the ATV while also using fans to remove smoke from the structure.
The fire department said the homeowner’s fast response helped minimize damage.
