The City is pleased to announce Lexi Dearborn as the August Employee of the Month!
Lexi has been with the City for just over one year and is the Marketing Coordinator for the Tourism and Marketing Department. She was instrumental in the transformation of First Fridays from an organic, unmanaged event to an organized monthly festival.
Lexi created the database that manages the application process for vendors, food trucks, street performers, and more. She tracks vital information critical to the setup process for each First Friday. Lexi is extremely organized, which benefits the volunteers when they arrive each month to help with setup and teardown. She is also responsible for creating Columbia 101, an innovative program designed to engage residents with local government and community services, set to launch next month. She manages all of this while expertly maintaining all of her marketing responsibilities. The City is grateful to have her as an employee.
