The City of Columbia recently dedicated Championship Field at Ridley Park in honor of former Mayor Dean Dickey.
Dean Dickey, who served as City Mayor from 2010 to 2019, was instrumental in many city developments, including the creation of the Ridley Sports Complex.
The City of Columbia posted the following on Facebook: “This was fitting tribute to his dedication to public service and his many contributions to our community. This field will forever symbolize his commitment to enhancing our community and supporting youth sports and recreation. Thank you, Mayor Dickey, for all you have done for the City of Columbia!”
