The City of Columbia proclaimed, February 10, 2022 as Bill Marbet Day!
Bill Marbet will be inducted into the 40th class of the TSSAA Hall of Fame in April 2022! Marbet holds many accomplishments in Columbia, TN and contributions to the community. Help us in congratulating Bill Marbet for all of his accomplishments!
• founded the Columbia-based business and Southern Athletic Fields in 1996
• received the Regents Award for Excellence in Philanthropy from Columbia State in 2011
• served Columbia State as president of the Athletic Booster Club and member of the College Foundation Board
• founding member of the City of Columbia’s Industrial Development Board and Health, Educational and Housing Facility Board
• has been a Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) football official for nearly 50 years
• has been a supervisor and assigning officer for the Central Tennessee Football Officials Association (CTNFOA)
• was Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association executive director for nearly 20 years
• serves on the TSSAA Board of Control and Legislative Council as an Ex Officio member representing TACA
