Congratulations to Coach Levier, Coach Banks and Coach Armstrong of Columbia Central on being selected as District 9-AAAA Coach and Staff of the Year.
The Coaching Staff of the Year was voted on by fellow coaches in the 9-AAAA District.
Teams from Region 5, District 9-AAAA include Coffee County Central High, Columbia Central High School, Lincoln County High, Shelbyville Central High, Spring Hill High School, and Warren County High.
Coach Levier shared, “This award means a lot to me but more importantly my coaching staff. We’ve instilled a lot into these young men, and they’ve bought into what we are teaching. My staff has helped me set the standard and also helped push these kids to aim at that standard on a daily basis.”
CHS Principal, Michael Steele shared, “It’s not surprising to me to see this team grow under Coach Levier’s leadership. It’s especially meaningful that other coaches voted for Coach Levier in his first year. They must have experienced something special. The entire basketball coaching team has great chemistry and knows their role to propel this team forward. I anticipate we will see more accomplishments like this as time goes on. As the principal, I could not be more proud.”
