Columbia Mayor’s Youth Council Hosts Holiday Toy & Book Drive

The Columbia Mayor’s Youth Council is pleased to announce they will be hosting their Holiday Toy & Book Drive for the second year to benefit various local organizations during the holiday season. The Holiday Toy & Book Drive will begin November 14, 2022, and end Monday, December 5, 2022.

New, unwrapped toys and books will be accepted and can be dropped off Monday – Friday during school hours in a provided drop box at the following locations:

Columbia Central High School
Mt. Pleasant High School
Zion Christian Academy
Spring Hill High School
Hampshire Unit School
Culleoka Unit School
Columbia Academy
City Hall (7:30am – 4:00pm)

The donations will be supporting four local organizations:

The Maury County Public Library
The King’s Daughters’ School
The Pregnancy Center
The Family Center

Through the Mayor’s Youth Council, students in Columbia grow to become the next leaders of our city, and their participation creates a foundation for expanding our population of informed high-school students. In addition, a council of student representatives create an ideal avenue for local politicians to interact and learn from their constituents.
