Columbia Police Department Announces Promotions

Nicholas Moss, a nineteen-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Corporal. Corporal Moss will be a supervisor in the Patrol Division.

Cheryl MacPherson, a fifteen-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Corporal. Corporal MacPherson will be a supervisor in the Support Services Division.

William “Mac” Hull, a twelve-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Corporal. Corporal Hull will be a supervisor in the Street Crimes Division.


Neylan Barber, a twelve-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Corporal. Corporal Barber will be a supervisor in the Special Investigations.

Trent Thomson, an eight-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant. Sergeant Thomson will be a supervisor in the Support Services Division.

Timothy Jason Sanders, an eighteen-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant. Sergeant Sanders will be a supervisor in the Criminal Investigation Division.

Jason Dark, a twenty-three-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Lieutenant. Lt. Dark will be a supervisor in the Support Services Division.

Alex MacPherson, an eighteen-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Lieutenant. Lt MacPherson will be a supervisor in the Street Crimes & Special Investigations.

Jeremy Haywood, a twenty-three-year law enforcement veteran, has been promoted to the rank of Police Captain. Captain Haywood will be a supervisor over the Patrol Division.
