Congratulations are in order for Officer Sydney Segroves with the Columbia Police Department, Tennessee.
Officer Sydney Segroves has been named as the Columbia Police Department’s Officer of the Month for August 2023.
On August 31st, 2023, Ofc. Segroves responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the area of Pulaski Highway near Sheegog Lane. Upon her arrival, Ofc. Segroves observed the driver was critically injured suffering from a severed left foot and an arterial laceration to his lower left leg.
Ofc. Segroves applied a tourniquet to the driver’s leg to stop the bleeding. EMS and CFR arrived on scene and took over patient care.
If it wasn’t for Ofc. Segroves quick actions taken and critical decision making the driver may have succumbed to his injuries.
