Columbia Police Department Sergeant Jamie Reed Retires After 29 Years

After 29 years of service to the Columbia community, Sergeant Jamie Reed retired from the Columbia Police Department on October 28, 2022.

Reed started his career with the Columbia Police Department back in 1993.

During his tenure at Columbia Police Department (CPD), Sgt. Reed served in the patrol division as a master patrol officer before moving to the Criminal Investigations Division in 2009 as a Detective. Reed was then promoted to Sergeant in 2011 where he has spent time as a supervisor in the Criminal Investigations Division, Patrol Division, and the department’s Traffic Unit.

Reed also spent time as a member of CPD’s original Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, original Evidence Collection Unit, and original Special Victims Unit.

Thank you for your 29 years of dedication and service to the citizens of Columbia, Tennessee. You will truly be missed.
