The City of Columbia proudly recognizes Austin Huddleston as the August Employee of the Month!
Austin has been with the City of Columbia for 4 years in October and is an integral part of the Public Works Department. While on route, Austin noticed a void in the road and immediately contacted his supervisor to discover a broken water main under roadway. He stayed onsite until emergency personnel and CPWS arrived, keeping vehicles and townspeople out of harm. Austin also assisted the city supervisor with the investigation of what caused the issue.
