Firefighter Injured in Columbia House Fire

Columbia Fire & Rescue responded to a residential structure fire located at 1119 Woodland Street at approximately 1:40am on August 2.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home and fire spreading to nearby structures. Firefighters immediately began working to successfully extinguish the blaze.

The burning home was unoccupied and no civilian injuries have been reported.

One Columbia Fire & Rescue firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries on scene. The firefighter was treated and released from Maury Regional Hospital.

The Columbia Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of this fire.
