Harriet Lorene Westfall passed away peacefully at her home in Mt. Pleasant on June 6, 2021. She was born to Voris and Mary Hazel Carpenter in Lyons, Indiana, on June 23, 1923. She was a long-time resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, and retired from the Rough Notes Publishing Company there. She was a member of the Collegevue Church of Christ in Columbia, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Wilma Abraham, brother-in-law George Abraham, her sister JoAnna Clouse, and brother-in-law Wayne Clouse. She is survived by her brother Dale (Mary) Carpenter of Orlando, Florida, and brother David (Charlene) Carpenter of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her children: Dan (Harriet) Westfall of Greenwood, Indiana, Roger Westfall of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cindy (Greg) Gwin of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They called her ‘GG’ and each one was special to her. These include seven grandchildren: Jacob (Nickie) Gwin, Joel (Kelly) Gwin, Matthew Westfall, Jared (Leigh Ann) Gwin, Sarah (Steven) Nicholson, Nathan Westfall, and Jonathan Westfall. She had 17 great-grandchildren: Cole Gwin, Caleb Gwin, Carter Westfall, Everett Westfall, Caleb Westfall, Chloe Gwin, Jack Gwin, Jace Gwin, Micah Gwin, Natalie Nicholson, Cohen Gwin, Kate Gwin, Aiden Westfall, Norah Nicholson, Emily Gwin, Knox Nicholson, and Neyland Nicholson. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 13 at 2:30 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
