Lime and Loaf began when local small business owners, Paul and Chrissy Jensen of The Dotted Lime and Kathryn and Adam York of Smith & York Co., teamed up with a vision to provide Columbia with a local kitchen shop experience that provides practical, yet high-quality products for your home kitchen.

Lime and Loaf is located at 510 North Garden Street in the New South Marketplace in downtown Columbia. Lime and Loaf defines itself as a Kitchenarium that provides chef-curated items for cooking and baking alike. When asked, owner Adam York, defined a kitchenarium by comparing it to terrarium or an aquarium as being a small enclosed vessel. Lime and Loaf is essentially an enclosed vessel of kitchen supplies that will delight every individual whether you are new to cooking or an experienced chef.

What can you expect to find inside of Lime and Loaf?

Lime and Loaf provides every kitchen utensil you could ever dream of. With categories to shop from including Appliances, Bakeware, Cookware, Kitchen Tools, Prepware, Textiles, Pantry and Knives & Accessories, it is your one-stop-shop for kitchen items in the Columbia area. You will discover high-end, reputable brands approved by professional chefs everywhere such as F Dick knives, smeg, GreenPan and Anchor.

Lets get hands-on

An exciting element of the Lime and Loaf is their opportunity to attend live, on-site cooking classes. They provide a variety of classes for all levels of culinary experience. Some of their classes include Sushi making, Soup recipes, Kid’s pizza class, holiday recipes and so many more. You can sign up today on their website.

Team building events

The purpose of team building events is to motivate your personnel to work together, grow their strengths and address any weaknesses – what better way to do this than with food? Prior to the team building event, Lime and Loaf will provide you a questionnaire to help identify current strengths and shortcomings. Once this questionnaire is collectively evaluated by Life & Career Coach Amy Hutto and Chef Paul will create a menu tailored to your team’s needs.

What is the goal of Lime and Loaf?

When I asked one of the owners, Adam York, this question his reply was to, “offer locals and visitors a multi-faceted experience through our retail shop filled with high-quality and sometimes hard to find kitchen items. We are also thrilled to be able to offer the community the opportunity to have private events when available, which includes a cooking class element. All in all, we are able to provide products and experiences right here in Columbia that patrons formerly had to drive for 40 minutes to an hour to find.”

As an avid cook myself who is passionate about food, I can personally speak to the truth that the Maury County area has never had a company provide such a versatile kitchen gallery that serves so many culinary demands. Add to that the hands-on excitement of local classes to grow your culinary repertoire, enjoy community in addition to supporting a local small business establishment, I would say this is a community goal that has been fulfilled.
