John Fletcher, age 79, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his home at Battles Place on The King’s Daughters’ School campus. He was predeceased in death by his parents Gertrude and John Fletcher and his sister Bee Fletcher. Survived by his brother Whit Fletcher of Washington, DC, and by his sisters Mrs. Louise Frazer (Jim) and Mrs. Anna Mary Lenderman (Dick) both of Nashville.
John had been a resident of Columbia at The King’s Daughters’ School since 1956. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, and was an active participant in Special Olympics for many years. He particularly enjoyed bowling and bocce ball.
The family wishes to give special thanks and appreciation to all the wonderful staff at Battles Place and The King’s Daughters’ School.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until noon on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church, 801 S. High St, Columbia. A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville.
