Technology and coordination led to an arrest in Mt. Juliet after police located a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Maury County.

According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, license plate readers alerted officers to a vehicle linked to an attempted aggravated robbery involving a firearm that occurred Friday in Maury County. Officers were notified as the SUV entered Mt. Juliet near South Mt. Juliet Road and Central Pike and quickly put a pursuit prevention and apprehension plan in place, with real-time updates from the department’s Advanced Response Communications Center.

The vehicle, a 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, was later found parked and unoccupied at Walmart. Officers monitored the SUV until a 28-year-old man from Nashville, who was wanted by Maury County authorities, returned to the vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident.
