The Student of Integrity Scholarship program recognizes high school seniors from a 45-county service area who personify high character through leadership, community service, overall personal integrity and academic accomplishments.

Columbia Central High School student, Jeremiah Grissom, was named a scholarship recipient of Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) Students of Integrity sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Asurion. This scholarship program was established in 2005 to recognize high school seniors who personify high ethics and reward the future ethical business leaders in our region. This program was open to all high school seniors graduating in 2022 who attend high school in BBB Middle TN and Southern KY’s service area who expressed an interest in going to an accredited college, university, or trade school after graduation.

Each student had to submit an application that demonstrated ethical behavior through Leadership, Community Service, Personal Integrity, Academic History, and an ethics-based essay. The essay topic challenges students to dive into the inner conflict they experienced and explore how they navigated their crisis to make an ethical decision.

For the 2021 recipients, they were celebrated at the 61st Annual BBB Meeting. The BBB’s Integrity Foundation Board of Directors is committed to the belief that identifying and honoring high school seniors is an important role in fostering its mission of promoting ethics in the marketplace.
