On Sunday morning at 2:25am, Maury County Fire Department responded to a reported child birth in progress.
A couple had pulled over at Maury County Fire Station 27 at the intersection of Bear Creek Pike and 431 when they knew they couldn’t make it to the hospital.
Dispatchers were able to provide instructions and talk the couple through the process prior to arrival of MCSO, MAURY EMS, and MCFD.
Units arrived to find a healthy baby and mother who were transported by Maury Regional EMS.
“Too often our 911 operators don’t get the credit they deserve for the work that they do, so please join us in showing appreciation for a job well done!” Maury County Fire Department said.
