On Sunday, August 13, just after 9am, Maury County Fire Department was alerted to a report of a structure fire on Williamsport Pike.
As units were responding ECOM updated units that the fire had extended into the home’s attic. Mutual aid was received from Hickman County Rescue Squad, East Hickman FD, and Centerville FD due to the heat index being over 100 degrees.
District Chief 11 arrived to find the home well involved and ordered first arriving units to cut the fire off in the breezeway to the large semi-detached garage.
Units were successful in stopping the advance and spent the next 6 hours overhauling and extinguishing the main structure.
