Maury Regional Health Update on COVID-19 Hospitalizations: Oct 3

As of Oct 3, Maury Regional Health hospitals are caring for 50 COVID patients, with 15 of those in an ICU bed. As of Oct 3, there were 2,239 individuals hospitalized with COVID in Tennessee, with 711 in an ICU bed.

Vaccination to protect against severe illness and hospitalization remains available through local health departments, retail pharmacies and Maury Regional Health.

In addition to first and second doses, booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine are now available for certain individuals who received the two-dose series of Pfizer, with the second dose at least six months ago. This is a decrease in hospitalizations from last week. On September 27, Maury Regional Health reported that Maury Regional hospitals were caring for 60 COVID patients, with 18 of those in an ICU bed.
