Maury Regional Health Update on COVID-19 Hospitalizations: Sept 27

Maury Regional Health reports, on September 27, that Maury Regional hospitals are caring for 60 COVID patients today, with 18 of those in an ICU bed.

This is a decrease in hospitalizations from last week. On September 22, Maury Regional Health reported that Maury Regional hospitals were caring for 93 COVID patients, with 27 of those in an ICU bed.

In Tennessee, as of September 27, there were 2,701 individuals hospitalized with COVID in Tennessee, with 833 in an ICU bed.

Vaccination, which protects against severe illness and hospitalization related to COVID, remains available through local health departments, retail pharmacies and Maury Regional Health.

In addition to first and second doses, booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine are now available for certain individuals who received the two-dose series of Pfizer, with the second dose at least six months ago.
