1Main Street Festival

It’s the first festival of spring in downtown Franklin. The free family event will feature food vendors, artisan goods, activities, and live music.

The Quicksteps will celebrate their home opener at beautiful Rippa Villa Plantation! This event is part of the Tennessee Association of Vintage Base Ball. This event promotes living history by bringing the 19th century to life through baseball events that use the rules, equipment, costumes and culture of the 1860s. This event is FREE. Chairs, picnics, and cranks (vintage fans) are welcome to enjoy 1860’s era, bare handed base ball.

4Natchez Trace Wine Trail VIP Tour

Tour begins at Grinder’s Switch Winery
510 North Garden Street, Suite D, Columbia

This experience is the best way to experience a taste of Tennessee wine country!

The tour will begin at 11am at Grinder’s Switch Winery’s tasting room in Columbia, TN where guests will enjoy a tasting of all of the available wines.

From there, guests will load up on the bus and head out to Hampshire where you will enjoy not only samples of their wines but also VIP perks like tank room tours, private tastings and more at Amber Falls Winery, Natchez Hills Winery and Keg Springs Winery before heading back to Columbia.

There will be snacks and drinks on the bus including a personal mini charcuterie box for each guest just in case you get a little hungry on the trip. You also have the option of adding on a boxed lunch for your trip!

At the end of the tour, guests will receive their very own Natchez Trace Wine Trail wine glass!

The tour will take approximately 6 hours. Price includes transportation, tasting fees, snacks and drinks (on the bus) and gratuity for your driver and bartenders. You must be 21 or older to take this experience and guests will be carded.

5Family of Influence Walking Tour: Columbia and the Polk Family

James K. Polk Home & Museum
301 W. 7th Street, Columbia

The President James K. Polk Home and Museum presents a walking tour of downtown Columbia that features the history of the town told through stories of the Polk family.

Before it was Mule Town USA, what was Columbia like? As some of the earliest residents, the Polk family would help shape the town. Learn about Samuel Polk’s fist fight on the city square, William Polk’s duel and the trees that spelled out “Andrew Jackson.”

This interactive tour will begin and end at the President James K. Polk Home & Museum and takes participants around the downtown area. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and does not include a tour of the Polk Home itself. Visitors should dress weather appropriate and wear comfortable shoes.

Limited tickets may be available at the door, but participants are encouraged to purchase their tickets ahead of time to ensure their spot on the tour.
