1Maury Christmas Historic Home Tour
December 6 – 7, 9am – 4pm
A favorite Maury County tradition, dating back to the 1950s, returns December 6th and 7th – the Maury Christmas Historic Home Tour.
During the historic home tour, a variety of public and private homes will open their doors to guests during this weekend event. One $25 ticket gives tour-goers access to all the tour sites. Tour hours are 9am- 4pm December 6th and 7th.
The tour is a fund-raiser for the Athenaeum in Columbia, Tennessee. The proceeds of this tour ensure that the Athenaeum will be able to operate for another year. Typically, the proceeds of this tour are enough to fund the historic site’s yearly operating costs, with a few dollars left over for ongoing restoration work.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at ticket locations and will be available through December 7th.

2Ralph McDonald: Santa Claus is Coming to Muleton

Experience Tennessee artist Ralph McDonald’s joy-filled paintings of Jolly Old St. Nick at Columbia State’s Pryor Art Gallery until Friday, December 13th!
Admission is free and gallery hours are Monday – Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
3City of Columbia Christmas Tree Lighting
Friday, December 6, 5pm – 8pm
The City of Columbia is excited to kick off the holiday season by putting up their Christmas tree and getting into the festive spirit!
On Friday, December 6th, enjoy the Tree Lighting Celebration at December’s Columbia First Fridays event from 5-8 PM. Santa and Mrs. Claus will light the tree, accompanied by festive music from DJ Rio.
The evening will feature local craft vendors, food trucks, and a variety of holiday-inspired, family-friendly activities, making it the perfect start to the season of joy and giving.
4City of Columbia Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 7th, 6pm
On Saturday, December 7th, Columbia Main Street Christmas Parade will take place. The parade takes place at 6pm
Gather along West 7th Street and the town square to see local businesses and organizations showcase their creativity with beautifully decorated floats.
5Pancakes & Pictures with Santa
December 6 – 8

Come check out this Christmas Event at The Blue Barn Venue located in Columbia.
Dates for this event are December 6th, 7th, and 8th. Tickets are $45 per child and allows the child to explore Santa’s Snow Shop. All ticket activities are for children only, but parents may accompany their child.
This year,on Friday only, there will be cookie classes. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be freshly cooked pancakes for children to top with various yummy toppings.
Other activities include train rides, crafts, writing a letter to Santa, bounce houses and of, course, Santa photos. You can also pay additional admission to enjoy a petting zoo on Friday and Sunday.
