The Mulehouse

Jon McLaughlin celebrates the 15th anniversary of his debut album, Indiana, with a 2022 deluxe edition that includes a new a cappella version of the title track featuring Straight No Chaser. In support of the 15th Anniversary of Indiana, McLaughlin will embark on a 19-city tour across the country, performing the Indiana album in its entirety with a full band beginning, with special guest, singer/songwriter, and American Idol winner Kris Allen.

Join the crew of Baxter’s Mercantile for their annual Christmas Open House and their 1st annual Festival of Lights! On Friday, at 7:00pm, come out and support as it is going to be their 1st annual Festival of Lights. Join them as they light up their store for the holidays! On Saturday from 10:00am-7:00pm, it is their annual Christmas Open House. Join them for door prizes, food samplings, and holiday shopping!

This themed event is something you sure will not want to miss! Tickets include admission only, but drinks and food are available for purchase. Themed food, drinks, and decked out decor/props from everyone’s favorite decade! There will be trivia and prizes, prizes for best dressed, and y2k tunes all night long, with a little karaoke thrown in! Come dressed in your Y2K best and party with the crew of Magnolia & Vine all night!

4Portraits of Patriotism

RiverWalk Park

The City of Columbia’s Parks and Recreation is having their annual Veterans Day Program entitled “Portraits of Patriotism.” It will be an outside event located at Riverwalk Park. There will be 20 personal displays throughout the park honoring the community’s local veterans. They will remain in the park for 30 days. Veterans are invited to be present during the ceremony, as this is a time to make special mention about their service and sacrifice. The Tennessee National Guard will be in full uniform and have multiple vehicles on display. They will be available to answer any questions you may have about the equipment they use, and the services they perform. Recruiters will be present to explain career options in the Tennessee Army National Guard, and how they serve the State of Tennessee in various roles. Vintage military weapons will be on display, along with camouflage face painting. This is a community event for the whole family.

5Family Day

The Park at Harlinsdale Farm

Franklin Parks’ Family Day offers many opportunities for families to have a great time on this historic farm. This free festival features miniature train rides, hayrides, pony rides, and a petting zoo. Festival attendees can also enjoy cane pole fishing in the pond. Don’t miss the Touch-a-Tractor area sponsored by TriGreen Equipment, which will consist of small excavators the kids can operate and large tractors the kids can sit on. Many equestrian related events will be held in the Tractor Supply Arena, sponsored by Friends of Franklin Parks. Food will be offered for purchase by local food vendors. Visitors can also listen to some great music on our entertainment stage.
