Sundown Cinema is an outdoor movie series presented by Maury County Parks & Recreation with support of the Friends of Maury County Parks. Enjoy a free movie on the big screen at Maury County Park! Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs, bug spray, and watch a sunset movie in the park. Movies begin at sunset with pre-show activities beginning about one-hour before showtime. Food will be available from food truck vendors on-site. Please leave pets and alcohol at home. The movie will begin at sunset.

2. Fall Foliage Hike at Cheeks Bend Bluff

Come experience autumnal beauty through a fall foliage hike along the Cheeks Bend Bluff View Trail. Tennessee’s diverse array of trees ensures a vibrant range of autumnal colors, creating a beautiful display of fall beauty. Embark on a hike to take in the colorful leaves and (hopefully!) crisp, cool autumn air. The trail is a 2-mile out and back heavily trafficked loop of moderate difficulty with some tricky footing in some areas.

3. 2021 Pumpkin Hunt

A series of clues are hidden across Maury County Park. The first clue is provided and from there each clue is located in the park and will lead participants to the next, if guessed correctly. Take a picture when you reach the final clue and submit it to be entered into a giveaway! The winner will be notified via text on Tuesday, October, 26. The hunt should take around an hour to an hour and a half to complete.
First clue: full moons, black cats, and flying bats- oh my! Your first clue lies where you can view the park from a hillside.
Hint: Find the swing set located off the right of the main park road, halfway up the hill.

4. Columbia Cars and Coffee

Come hang out with Columbia Motor Alley the third Saturday of every month for Columbia Cars and Coffee! You can find them at the corner of East 7th and Woodland Street in the heart of Columbia Motor Alley.

For more than 30 years the market has offered vendors a venue to sell the goods they produce and shoppers a local source for healthy, safe, and reliable goods. Columbia’s market is an open air market that takes full advantage of the surrounding farms by selling local goods directly to the consumer.
