1Ghosts of Greenwood

Meet men and women like Ophelia Polk Hayes, James K. Polk’s notoriously hot-headed sister; General Richard Winn, famed Revolutionary War leader; David Campbell, who was enslaved by the Campbell family; Sarah McNeill, the first victim of the 1844 “black tongue” epidemic, and more! Guides will lead tours through the cemetery to featured gravesites where Columbians will “come to life” to share their stories. Tours start every 20 minutes. James K. Polk Home & Museum, in partnership with Watershed Public Theatre, is pleased to be hosting this event!

The class will feature a variety of delicious charcuterie, Tennessee made products, holiday-themed cocktails, as well as a one-of-a-kind Honest Roots charcuterie board!

3Movies in the Park: Hocus Pocus

This is the last event of Movies in the Park! And in the spirit of Halloween, this weekend’s movie is ‘Hocus Pocus’. Movies in the Park is an outdoor movie series presented by Maury County Parks & Recreation with support of the Friends of Maury County Parks. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs and watch a sunset movie in the park. Movie Nights are free! Food trucks will be at the event pre-movie. All movies begin at sunset and alcohol is strictly prohibited.

With the two families merging together, someone is bound to lose power, which means someone else will lose their life! Get on the trolley and solve this case with your fellow detectives. Dress like the cat’s meow for this mafia wedding! Flapper dresses, zoot suits, feather boas and headbands, pinstriped suits and fedoras are all appropriate. Traditional wedding attire is nifty too!
