Calling all songwriters, sign-ups for the 2022 Tennessee Songwriters Week Qualifying Rounds at Mt. Pleasant Grille are now open! Winners of the Qualifying Rounds will go to the Showcase rounds at venues across Tennessee. The Showcase winners will get their chance to play at the legendary Bluebird Cafe. Bundle up and come out for a shopping, dining, and music event happening on and around the square in downtown Columbia, TN. Join the community on the 1st Friday of the month this year! There will be live music and food trucks in addition to the locally owned restaurants on the square. Come out to what is sure to be a fun block party!

Jesse Black’s style might not be what you would expect from an artist based a bit outside of Nashville. An accomplished guitar player with a diverse style encompassing many genres including Blues, Soul, Rock n’ Roll, Country, and R&B, among others. As a result, Jesse’s live performances host a broad mixture of songs, providing a little something for everyone in the audience.

4. Daddy Daughter Dance

There are few things as special as the bond between a father and his daughter! The dance will include: an evening of dancing, kid-friendly light snacks, a photo keepsake, and memories to last a lifetime! Suggested ages 3 and up. This event does require a ticket to attend.

5. Black Violin

Black Violin is led by two classically trained string players. The band uses their unique blend of classical and hip-hop music to overcome stereotypes while encouraging people of all ages, races and economic backgrounds to join together to break down cultural barriers. This is part of the Performing Arts Season Great Performances Series and is sponsored by Jackson National Life.
