Medacta International is expanding its operations in Maury County with plans to move its U.S. headquarters from Franklin to Spring Hill and establish a new manufacturing hub.
The Swiss medical device company has acquired property on Jim Warren Road near Interstate 65 and Saturn Parkway for the project. The expansion is expected to create more than 200 new jobs and bring an $85 million investment to the area over the next five years.
The new jobs will include positions in manufacturing, corporate operations, and other support roles. The project will be completed in several stages and is intended to expand Medacta’s U.S. operations while strengthening its global medical device supply chain.
Medacta specializes in personalized medical solutions for joint replacement, sports medicine, and spine surgery. The company was founded in Switzerland and is publicly traded there.
