Captain Jason Dark awarded Officer Michael Schmidt with the Columbia Police Department’s Officer of the Month for December 2022.
On December 2, 2022, Officer Schmidt initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. This traffic stop led to the seizure of a felony amount of narcotics, paraphernalia, a .40 caliber handgun, an extended magazine, and ammunition. Thank you Officer Schmidt for a job well done.
