Multiple Crashes Cause Morning Traffic Delays In Maury County

Drivers across Maury County faced significant delays Friday morning as emergency crews responded to several motor vehicle accidents affecting major roadways in both the county and the city.

According to the Maury County Fire Department, New Lewisburg Highway near Duck River Electric experienced major backups due to a head-on collision. Additional crashes were reported on Nashville Highway near Carters Creek within the city, and on I-65 near the 36-mile marker, where multiple accidents occurred, including one vehicle that overturned.

Fire officials said units responded to five separate crashes throughout the morning, with at least one incident requiring extrication. Motorists are urged to use caution and expect continued delays in impacted areas.
