Ada Bell Beckum, age 95, resident of Columbia, Tennessee, entered her eternal resting place with our precious Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 7, 2023.
Ada was born February 17, 1927, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to the late Bertie and Marvin King.
Ada was well-loved by her family and friends and took pride in helping care for her grandchildren in their younger years. She loved going to church, walking, wearing her beloved Merle Norman Makeup, and eating her cookies.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Brenda Attkisson, Lonnie (Linda) Beckum, Steve (Linda) Beckum, Sharon (Steve) Barr; grandchildren: Mike (Leslie) Attkisson, Connie (Wayne) Beckwith, Tim (Audrey) Attkisson, Heather (Ernie) Martin, Stephanie (Brad) Stacy, Jennifer Beckum, Bethany (Dale) Jackson, Dwayne Beckum, Crystal (Andy) Beck, Troy Beckum, and Syvanna Beckum; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ada is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Lon Beckum; grandchild: Tony Attkisson; son-in-law: Monroe Attkisson, six brothers, and four sisters.
The family will visit with friends at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastor Jerry Yerkes officiating. To follow, Ms. Ada will be laid to rest at McClain Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
Active pallbearers will be Brad Stacy, Brayden Stacy, Ernie Martin, Bryce Butler, Wayne Beckwith, and Mike Attkisson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Naddy for taking wonderful care of their loved one over the many years that she was ill and under his care and also a special thank you to Krista Bailey for always being a sweet friend when visiting at Life Care Center of Columbia.
