Alice Faye Massey Crews, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at NHC Maury Regional.
Alice was born on July 3, 1937, to the late William E. Massey and Lorena House Massey Hann in Columbia, TN.
She was the wife of the late Bobby N. Crews of Mt. Pleasant. Alice was a graduate of Central High School in Columbia, TN. She started her career as a unit clerk at Vanderbilt and later worked as a unit clerk at Maury Regional Hospital. She then worked for Dr. Joel Hargrove for 19 years and retired from Maury Regional Medical Center after 15 years.
Alice was kind to everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long-time member of Main Street Church of Christ.
Alice leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters: Theresa (Hal) Brown, Beverly (Hendley) Edwards, and Mirinda (Mike) Flynt; grandchildren: Allison Brown (Kyle) Crump of Spring Hill, Mallory Flynt (Josh) Davis of Mt. Pleasant, Lauren Edwards (Eric) Dial of Columbia, Wesley (Kara) Flynt of Mt. Pleasant and Luc Edwards of Franklin; along with seven great-grandchildren, and another one on the way. She is also survived by her brother: Donald (Shoko) Massey of Washington State and sister: Janice Massey (Jimmy) Allen of Columbia.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers: Wayne Massey, Larry Massey, and Jimmy Massey.
Funeral services for Mrs. Crews will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Randy Kersey officiating. The family will receive friends and family Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Mrs. Crews will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Matthew after the service.
Pallbearers will be Hal Brown, Hendley Edwards, Mike Flynt, Wesley Flynt, Luc Edwards, Kyle Crump, Josh Davis, and Eric Dial.
