Mr. Bill Wayne “Big Daddy” Johnson, age 81, a resident of Spring Hill, Tennessee, previously of Leeds, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, and Williamson Medical Center.
The family will celebrate his life with a service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bill was born on March 26, 1940, in Jasper, Alabama, and worked for over thirty years for Lehigh Cement Company before retiring. He was an Alabama football fanatic and season ticket holder who went to every home and bowl game. He enjoyed watching Blue Angels air shows, and over the years, he restored and rebuilt many antique tractors. Above all, he loved his family, especially his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Mitzi Johnson of Spring Hill, TN, and grandchildren, Ciella Marie Johnson, Rue Mason Johnson, Noah Michael Johnson all of Spring Hill, TN.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wayne Johnson, and former wife, Barbara Jones Johnson.
