Charles Bryan Smith, age 53, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 20, 1968, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Bryan was the son of Mary Jo & Henry Blair Chapman and the late David Smith, Sr. He was a longtime walking horse trainer who loved riding horses and often trained horses on the side. Bryan was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching westerns, and having a good time. He especially loved spending time with his daughter, Jastyn.
In addition to his mother, stepfather, and daughter, he is survived by the mother of his daughter, Martina Smith-Bolanos of Smyrna, TN, stepchildren, Jaclissa Haislip of Atlanta, GA, Drew McLean of Vero Beach, FL, brothers, David (Tyree) Smith, Jr. of Lewisburg, TN, Marc (Tracy) Smith of Hickory, NC, sister, Kristen Smith of Lewisburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
