Carolyn Sue Clardy, age 79, of Columbia, TN, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully April 10, 2025. Carolyn was born March 15, 1946 in Shelbyville, TN to the late Ransom Vernos and Mary Neese. Carolyn retired from the State of Tennessee and was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Jeff Clardy; sister, Mary Ruth Halmontaller; grandchildren, Jeremy (Heather) Dyer, Matthew (Hali) Lentz, Madison Lentz, Tucker Knight and Tensley Clardy; great grandchildren, Ethan, Jason, Damian and Sophia Lentz. She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Pinky” Clardy; daughter, Carole Lentz; brothers, Gary and William Joe Neese; in-laws, James Alvis and Lucille Clardy, son in-law, David Lentz and brother in-law, Bobby Wilkens.
A Memorial Service will be held 6:00PM, Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home, Randy McNeese officiating. Visitation with the Clardy family will be held one hour prior to the service.
