Carter Studdert Ward, age 79, passed away September 28, 2021 at Tennessee State Veterans Home, Murfreesboro, TN.
He was a native of Wilmington, NC, and a resident of Columbia, TN. Carter was a Lt Commander in the United States Navy.
Carter was preceded in death by his parents, John Ward, Jr. and Lindsay Anne Studdert Ward. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Spicer Ward; children, Natalie Noel (Bylund) Ward of Fredericksburg, VA, Tyler (Kimberly) Studdert Ward of Mesa, AZ, Whitney Olivia Wilkinson of Pleasant Grove, UT; brother, John (Nell) Ward, III of Cedar City, UT; grandchildren, Christopher, Caroline, Catherine, Charlotte Bylund, Daisy Ann and Sadie Ann Ward, Sterling and Tristan Wilkinson and one to be born.
