Allen Clyde Hay, age 78, a life long resident of Santa Fe, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 1st at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Sister Inez Jones officiating, Burial will follow in Hilltown Cemetery in Santa Fe. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, November 30th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Clyde was born September 30, 1943, in Maury County and was the son of the late Collie Paul Hay and the late Eunice Grace Hill Hay. He worked as a welder at Davis Pug Mill System and was a member of the Hilltown Emmanuel Apostolic church. Clyde loved riding the back roads and sightseeing with his friend and road dog Tommy Hay. He loved horseback riding with friends on weekends and enjoying life. He also enjoyed fishing with his family on his pontoon boat and camping every chance he could get. His grandchildren and great-granddaughters were the light of his life and he will be loved and missed by all.
He is survived by his son, Roger Dale Hay of Santa Fe; daughter, Gayle Clydene Hay (Chris) Harper; brother, Wesley Paul Hay; and grandchildren, Dakota Hay, Devin Alexander, Angela Kelley, April White, John Alan Cummins, and great-grandchildren, Taelor Jordyn and Brooklyn Christine Moles.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Warren Hay; and grandson, Thomas Joe “T.J.” Moles. Brother, Sherman Harold Hay and sister, Hazel Merlene Collier.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Hay, Chris Harper, Hunter Vernon, Greg Hay, and Jeff Hay.
Honorary pallbearers will be his dear friends and neighbors he has had the pleasure of knowing throughout the years.
