Cody Da’various Jackson, 33, a former resident of Columbia, died Friday, February 20, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with his Godmother Cathy Martin presiding over the services. Cody was born on September 15, 1992 in Sheffield, Alabama to Rhonda Nicole Flippin Flowers and Elroy Anthony Jackson. He graduated from Columbia Central High School in 2011. Cody was a divine Christian that had a love for children, music, cooking and grilling, and was known to always have a smile on his face.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Rhonda Flippin Flowers and Rodney Flowers; father Anthony Jackson; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Oren and Cornelia Flippin; paternal grandparents, Roy and Bertina Jackson; siblings, Antonio “Tony” Marlow, Bethany “Beth” Hanserd, Depericia Marlow, and Lauren Elizabeth Taylor Muncey and her husband Raymond Muncey; aunts and uncles, Sonia Flippin, Abrainette Kouadio, Jeanette Coleman, Keith Jackson, Terrance (Lisa) Hawkins, and Curtis Hawkins; cousin Ashlyn Rose Hannah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Evelyn Elizabeth Flippin and his cousin Brittney Nicole Hannah.
