Danny Wayne Caruthers, age 66, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at NHC Columbia.
Born on November 18, 1957, in Hampshire, Tennessee, Danny was the son of the late William James Caruthers and the late Mattie Belle Walker Caruthers.
He was educated in the Maury County School System and was a graduate of Carver Smith School. He was of the Church of Christ faith and baptized at Dry Fork Church of Christ in Hampshire. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed the outdoors, mowing, and doing yard work. Above all, he loved his family, especially his cherished nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his brother, James (Mildred) Caruthers of Columbia, sisters, Minnie D. (Samuel) Davis of Columbia, Renater Webster of Columbia, Patricia Ann Martin of Columbia, aunt, Charlene (Eddie Joe) Bills of Columbia, special brothers, Al Pye and Douglas Johnson, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Wendell Walker, Lloyd Thomas Caruthers, and Paulette Francis.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. https://www.tnfunerals.com
