Delana Lynn Brown Pruitt, age 57, wife of Clay Pruitt, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at her residence.
Born on August 13, 1964, in Nashville, Delana was the daughter of the late Dorris Wayne Brown and the late Lura P. Lindsey Brown Fitzgerald.
She was a 1983 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and married Clay Pruitt on May 13, 1988. She enjoyed riding on the river, camping, and watching hummingbirds. She was a long-time member of Parkway Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by several cousins. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Lloyd Fitzgerald.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Parkway Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. https://www.tnfunerals.com
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Pruitt, Danny Cupples, Michael McKnight, Ricky Lindsey, Dwight Faucett, and Billy Winn. Honorary pallbearers will include the Ladies Joy Class at Parkway Baptist Church and the Board Members of Parkway Baptist Church.
