Elizabeth “Darlene” Gatlin, born on September 9, 1958, in the picturesque town of Courtland, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Maury Regional Medical Center on September 8, 2024. Her departure from this world marks the end of a life lived with grace, love, and unwavering dedication.
Darlene was a nurturing soul whose calling as a Certified Nursing Assistant spanned an impressive 25 years. Her vocation was not merely a job but a profound passion, as she devoted herself to caring for others with a heart full of compassion and a spirit of selflessness.
Outside of her professional life, Darlene found solace and joy in the great outdoors. She had a particular fondness for fishing, embracing the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch. A lover of classic country music, Darlene’s heart was deeply rooted in her Southern heritage. Her fondness for old tunes was matched only by her devotion to her family.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 45 years: Robert Gatlin and sisters: Debbie and Donna.
