OBITUARY: Elsie Ann White Oliver Harris

Elsie Ann White Oliver Harris, age 96, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Life Care Center.

Born on June 29, 1928, in Birmingham, Alabama, Elsie was the daughter of the late Ivan Seba and Avah Louvinia Thomas White. She dedicated her career as a nurse at Williamson Medical Center before retiring. She loved listening to country music and enjoyed working puzzles and word searches and playing cards.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Oliver (Milton) Hay of Columbia, Tennessee, son, Robert B. (Sandy) Harris, Jr. of Lascassas, Tennessee, grandchildren, Tommy Jack Oliver, Jonathan Lee Roberts, Elizabeth Louise Harris, Lance (Erin) Harris, Chandler Michael LaDue, Layton Brian Oliver, step granddaughters, Sherry Hay (Ronnie) Sheeter, Donna Hay Huddleston, Cassie Hay (Kevin) Holt, seven great grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Layton Patterson Oliver, second husband, Robert B. Harris, Sr., children, Layton Seba Oliver, Thomas Howard Oliver, Jack Douglas Oliver, and sisters, Evelyn Jo Arnold and Nora Jeannine Long.

There will be no public service at this time. She will be laid to rest in Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna, Tennessee at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
