Freda Maureen Gilbert Stoltz Dozier, 88, homemaker, died Monday, April 24, 2023 at her residence in Columbia.
Born August 3, 1934 in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Neal Gilbert and the late Nettie Marie Reese Gilbert.
She was married to Archie B. Stoltz for 56 years until he preceded her in death in May 2008. Mrs. Dozier loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Mooresville Pike Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married May 2012, Charles Edmond Dozier, of Columbia; daughters, Janice Madison of Lawrenceburg; Sandra Demonbreum of Lawrenceburg; Robin (Amanda) McKennon of Columbia; brothers, Neal (Patricia) Gilbert, Norval (Annie) Gilbert; sisters, Jo McMahon, Hilda Durham; grandchildren, Peter, Jennifer, Amy, Justin, Katherine; great-grandchildren, Austin, Lauren, Lexi, Britney, Chazton, Dalton, Jayden, Adrianna; great-great-grandchild, Addaleah; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pearl Gilbert, Wilma Gilbert, Virgie Estes; and brother, Nolan Gilbert.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
