Freddie-Lee-Sister-Walker

Freddie Lee “Sister” Walker was the daughter of the late Emmitt C. Richardson and Rosie “Miss Tiny” Polite Richardson. She was born on December 8, 1951. She departed with this life on April 5, 2025.

Freddie was preceded in death by her siblings James Cordell, Lanny Richardson, and Paulette Caruthers Francis.

Freddie was joined in marriage to Bro. Wendell Walker for 32 years. To this union Rosaletta Walker and Adrian Walker were born. Sable joined the family as a beloved child in 1989.

Freddie professed Christ at an early age with New Hope Primitive Baptist Church and found hope in Christ when she joined Dry Fork Church of Christ where her husband Bro. Wendell Walker was attending; and later became a devoted Sunday School teacher. In 2009, she moved her membership to Main Street Church of Christ where she enjoyed worshipping until her death.

Freddie was a 1969 graduate of Clarke Training School. She ran a successful clothing business, Lee and Anna’s, for over 15 years and continued to sew and alter clothing up until her last day on this earth.

She was on the Board of Directors at the Family Center. But her first love was couponing. Through couponing, she was able to give to the less fortunate groceries and household supplies. She truly earned the title of Coupon Queen. She was a constant fundraiser for worthy causes of all kinds. She loved to cook and provide meals for people. No one would ever leave her house hungry or empty-handed.

Cherishing her memories: loving and devoted daughter, Rosaletta Walker; son, Adrian Walker, godson, Pastor Kerry James, and daughter, Sable Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Minnie (Samuel) Davis and Ann Martin; one brother-in-law, James (Mildred) Caruthers; devoted and dedicated relatives, Stanley Richardson, Carletta Harlan, Robert “Bobby” (Gloria) Harlan, and Sandra Richardson. Grandchildren: Haley Walker, Myles Walker, Jade Walker, and Adair Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
