Gregory Earl Sanford, 62, passed away on November 11, 2025. Born in Oakland, California, Gregory lived a life marked by kindness, service, and quiet strength.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Grace Sanford, and his brother, Richard Sanford. Gregory is lovingly remembered by his wife, Anna Sanford; his children Shawn Sanford and Jennifer Sanford; his siblings John (Kathy) Sanford and Mary (Dave) Lodwig; and several cherished nieces and nephews.
Gregory had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was an avid bike rider who found joy and peace in the open air. His faith was a central part of his life, and he devoted many hours to serving others through Thompson Station Church. Whether greeting members with a warm smile on Sunday mornings or delivering food to those in need through The Well ministry, Gregory lived out his compassion in simple, meaningful ways.
He was also committed to personal spiritual growth and was a faithful participant in Bible studies, where he nurtured his faith and friendships.
Gregory’s legacy is one of generosity, humility, and steadfast love for his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
