Henry Patterson Miller, a cherished and loving family man, passed away on February 6, 2025, in Hampshire, TN, at the age of 80.

Born in Maryville, TN, on December 4, 1944, to William C. and Georgia Miller, Henry’s life was a testament to his enduring kindness and his commitment to living with honesty and integrity.

Henry graduated from Porter High School and went on to obtain his degree from Georgia State University. His professional journey took him to the Ford Motor Company in Atlanta, GA, before he found his long-term career with Pittsburgh Paint and Glass, from which he retired. Throughout his career, Henry was known for his dedication and work ethic, as well as his ability to engage with colleagues and clients alike with his warm conversational nature.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Henry was a man of diverse interests and talents. He was an avid golfer, finding peace on the greens. His passion for flying model airplanes was more than a hobby; it was a pursuit that brought him immense joy and a sense of accomplishment. Henry was also deeply committed to his Bible studies, always striving to seek and share truth with those around him. His love for fishing, boating, and woodworking further illustrated his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life and his remarkable dexterity.

Henry’s family was the cornerstone of his existence. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Carol Faye Miller, until her passing in 2021. A loving father to his daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Jones, Henry instilled in his family the values of love, honesty, and the importance of strong family bonds. His grandchildren, Angela Schmitz, Trevor (Sheriece) Jones, Khristopher Jones, Noah (Cassidy) Jones, and Ryleigh (Devin) Palmer, along with his nine great-grandchildren, will cherish his memory and the gentle guidance he provided throughout their lives.

Though he was preceded in death by his great-grandchild Lucas Jones and his siblings Hazel, Jim, Ralph, Bill, George, and Bob Miller, his memory will be held in high regard by his surviving siblings Clara Davis, Lida Cooke, Liz Morgan, Linda Miller, and Charles Miller and his in-laws Melissa Ellis, Malinda (Alvin) Luna, Mary Ann Balcer, Beverly Jones, and Bobby Yeager (Janie).

Henry was a man best described by those who knew him as loving, friendly, and gentle. His presence was a comfort to many, and his ability to connect with others on a personal level was unmatched. His laughter and stories will be profoundly missed, but the legacy of his character will continue to live on through the lives of his family and the many friends he made along the way.
