Mamie Iona Ricks, age 82, resident of Columbia and a native of New Orleans, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Gretna, Louisiana. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
She is survived by her children: Sylvia Daniel, Iva (Carlos) Cardona of New Orleans, Lisa Ricks of New Orleans, Howard “Smiley” (Lisa) Frierson, Jr. of Columbia, Allen Frierson of Slidell, Louisiana, Deon Ricks of Columbia, TN, and Leon Ricks of Columbia, TN; brothers: McKinley Goins and Andrew Goins; sisters: Iva Goins Green and Rachelle Goins-Cryer; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Manson and Henrietta Sylvia Turner, and great-grandson: Caron Frierson.
